Auricula Mix

Take the edge off noise. Not life.

Mix is a high-fidelity earplug designed by our research and development team for people with a silicone allergy. It combines the comfort of soft, hypoallergenic foam with a high-fidelity filter.

The built-in filter uses an acoustic mesh and membrane to reduce ambient noise while keeping music clear and conversation easy. Mix suits concerts, live performances, festivals, social gatherings, and motorcycle and car races.

Why it matters. Hearing damage can happen within seconds, at concerts and games but also at parties and everyday gatherings. Loud sound can also cause tinnitus, a ringing in the ears. The damage starts young and adds up over time. It can’t be corrected, but it is completely preventable.
01

Fit and assemble

  1. Take the acoustic filter out of its packaging.
  2. Choose the mushroom-shaped ear tip that fits your ear best. It should feel snug and create a seal.
  3. Push the filter into the ear tip, lining up the perforated part of the filter with the opening of the tip.
  4. Make sure the black end of the filter faces out.

Put them in

A good seal is what makes the earplug work. These steps get easier with practice.

Step 1
1

Make sure the earplugs are clean. Wipe them gently with a clean cloth, or a mild cleaning solution made for earplugs.

Step 2
2

Gently roll the foam ear tip between your fingers. This compresses the tip so it slips into the ear canal more easily.

Step 3
3

Gently pull the top of your ear up and out. This opens the ear canal and makes room for the earplug.

Step 4
4

Keeping the ear open, push the earplug in with gentle, steady pressure until it seals.

Note: The first few times, you may feel a slight itch or a squeezing feeling in the ear canal. That’s normal and fades with practice. If the itching continues after wearing them for a while, take the earplugs out and see a doctor. You can also contact us for help.

03

Take them out

Use a slow twisting motion to break the seal and loosen the earplug.

Removing the earplug from the right ear↺

Right ear: turn counter-clockwise as you ease it out.

Left ear: turn clockwise as you ease it out.

Don’t pull straight out. Pulling can make the ear tip come off and stay in your ear canal.

04

Clean and store

  1. Handle the earplugs gently and keep them away from too much moisture or harsh chemicals.
  2. Take the acoustic filter out of the ear tip. Wipe the filter with a cloth that is only slightly damp, never wet, to protect it.
  3. Clean the ear tip and tail fin. Wipe them with a damp cloth or rinse them under a gentle stream of water.
  4. Make sure there is no moisture or debris left, then let everything air-dry completely.
  5. Put the filter back in and store the earplugs in the carrying case so they stay clean and dry.

Good to know

  • The black end of the filter always faces out.
  • The foam expands after you insert it. Hold it in place for a few seconds while it settles.
  • Medium suits most adults. Choose Small for narrow ear canals and Large if Medium will not seal.
