How to Use & Care

From the Auricula user manual

How to wear and care for your earplugs.

A good seal is what makes the filter work. These steps take a minute, and they get easier every time.

1

Fit and assemble (Live and Mix)

  1. Take the acoustic filter out of its packaging.
  2. Choose the ear tip that fits your ear best. It should feel snug and create a seal.
  3. Push the filter into the ear tip, lining up the perforated end of the filter with the opening of the tip.
  4. The colored end of the filter faces out: blue on Live, black on Mix.

Air and Rest come ready to wear. Just pick your size.

2

Put them in

  1. Make sure the earplugs are clean. Wipe them gently with a clean cloth if needed.
  2. Roll the ear tip gently between your fingers to compress it so it slips in easily.
  3. Gently pull the top of your ear up and out. This opens the ear canal.
  4. Holding your ear open, push the earplug in with gentle, steady pressure until it seals.

Note: The first few times, you may feel a slight itch or a squeeze in the ear canal. That's normal and fades with practice. If the itching continues, take the earplug out and talk to a doctor, and feel free to contact us.

3

Take them out

Use a slow twisting motion to break the seal: counterclockwise in your right ear, clockwise in your left ear.

Note: Don't pull the earplug straight out. That can make the ear tip come off and stay in your ear canal.

4

Clean and store

  • Handle gently and avoid too much moisture or harsh chemicals.
  • Remove the filter from the ear tip (Live and Mix). Wipe the filter with a cloth that is only slightly damp, never wet.
  • Wipe the ear tip with a damp cloth, or rinse it under a gentle stream of water.
  • Make sure there's no moisture or debris left. Let everything air-dry completely.
  • Store them in the carrying case so they stay clean and dry.
